Our toys are made from real used fire hose that actually fought fires in local communities. We process the hoses in an environmentally safe cleaning process to remove dirt and contaminates. However, some stains remain. These used hoses have markings on them from the original fire departments which may remain after the wash process.

Fire Departments decommission fire hose for many reasons. The most common reason is a failure of the hose during the annual test. This means that we may get a lot of hose from one department or a small amount of hose depending on how many failed testing. If a particular fire department is not listed in our store we have sold out and will not have more available until the next recycling period with that fire department 

No toy is indestructible. Fire hose is a very durable material and when used in active play with your dog will last a long time. Our toys are not intended to be chew toys. Should your dog  attempt to chew , gnaw and/or rip the toy apart please place the toy aside until you can resume active play.

We are always looking to partner with new Fire Departments.

We have many shelters/rescues. We love bringing joy to all dogs. When we partner with fire departments to recycle their fire hose we allow the fire department who is decommissioning the fire hose to select a shelter/rescue near them to receive 4 toys for every 100ft recycled. If you are a shelter interested in receiving a donation of toys please reach out to us and connect us with a Fire Department near you who has fire hose to recycle.

The majority of our toys do not have squeakers. Only select toys identified on our website as including a squeaker will have them.

The unique thing about Go Go Dog Toys is that all of our toys are made with retired firehose recycled from local fire companies. We do not guarantee the color/design of the firehose since we make toys with materials are available to us from recycling. Although, you could choose which fire company(ies) you would like to support from the drop down option. Another thing to keep in mind, all of our toys would be available in limited quantities since all of our toys are made with recycled materials.

That is a great question. Each of our toy is designed for different plays. We have a selection of toys designed for active plays, such as tugging and tossing. Those toys are NOT designed for chewing, however, they will stand up for tugging, pulling, throwing, light biting from active interactions with their human and fur friends. Additionally, we have created a chew selection for our chewers out there! Please kindly check out our online store for chew toys and instructions on choosing appropriate toys for your pets.

Thank you for raising this question. Before making our company available to the public, we conducted a thorough market research. What we have found is close to all of the dog toys advertised as "firehose" are made with "firehose material". All of our toys are made in USA. Our toys are made with recycled firehose from local fire companies, and they had actually been through firefighting activities.
